Steering Wheel Lock?

I haven't really thought about this much but, I was changing my oil tonight and leaned on the front wheel to get back up and it moved all the way inward? I have an 07 Classic Sierra and I thought it had a locking steering wheel? I haven't really paid much attention to it before but, I could've sworn that the wheel locked when the ignition was off? If it's supposed to and mine isn't now, how can I get it fixed? Thanks, Jason

Yours is working fine.....they did away w/ that several years back.

Sorry to revive a dead thread but, at work today, a guy with an 06 Silverado has the lock on his wheel and my father has a 99, 03 and an 06 Silverados and all of them have the lock as well? So, now I'm a little more curious as to why my 07 doesn't?
