305/50/20 Fit On An Oem 20x8.5

I run 305/50/20's on an 8.5" after market rim and this guy runs 305/55/20's on his stockers. You should be fine.

That should work although the stock rim is 8" not 8.5". This guy runs 305/55/20's on his stockerss.

That should work although the stock rim is 8" not 8.5". This guy runs 305/55/20's on his stockerss.

I was freakin' out...thought I had been lied to by the dealer and Centerline!

Any decent tire stores will have a tire fitment guide which shows what size tires are compatible with certain size rims. Just because somebody mounts oversize tires on their rims does not mean it is safe, smart, or recommended by tire experts. I knew a guy who mounted 31X10.5R15 tires on 6.5 inch rims. According to the fitment guide, these tires should be mounted only on rims from 7.0 to 9.0 inches wide.
