07-08 Silverado Hoods

I know this used to be done with the older styles but I was wondering if anyone knows if you can swap out the hood and grill from the 07 to present hd's and put it on the 07 to present half tons.

I'm not sure but I would love to see it. I am actually a fan of the Chevy HD front end.

I saw it done on a slammed red truck... I'll see if I can find the pictures.

 

EDIT: I have no idea where I saw them, if I find it I'll post, but I can't find it right now.

I really like the hd's look and I miss my 03 2500hd but I do like my 07 1500, partly becouse of the increase in fuel economy saving almost a $100 a month but just needs a little more toughness on the front like the hd's

Yes, the issue comes up with the strip on the front of the HD hood that isn't on the 1500. You'd have to get the holes behind it filled in and repainted if you didn't want the strip. If you get it from the factory, it'll need to be painted anyway though.

To help clarify what he's referring to you can see in the pics below that the 1500 hood does not have the chrome strip on the hood lip as the 2500 does.

Your also going to need the front bumper and end caps off the HD as the center is lower on the HD because the grill is taller. It not just a grill and hood swap.
