Tire Size Question

now i am planing on getting this lift kit http://roughcountry.com/chevy_4wd_99-06_6.html and it says that the recomended tire size is 35x12.5 and the rims that i have are 18x9 am i going to run into a problem with having a 9 insted of a 12.5 or is that a diffrent size that i just need to get the 12.5 tire on my 9? i am confused lol

the 12.5 is the width of the tire so the tire size would be 35x12.50r18 or something along those lines which means 35 in diameter 12.5 inches in width and a rim size of 18. The rim size of 18x9 is 18 inches in diameter 9 inches wide. As long as the tire you get is 35x12.50r18 or whatever the metric conversion to that is you will be a o.k. once you get that lift take some pictures because i pretty much have the same truck and am debating once i get the money to do that kit or the cognito 12 inch kit!!!! http://cognitomotorsports.com/store/page20.html

yeah i need new shocks bad that is how i told the wife i might as well lift it beucase new shocks come in the kit  wish brakes and rotors did too lol

im just throwing this out there...i messed up my stock rotors after i got the lift on my old truck and upgraded to slotted rotors....huge improvement on stopping power especially with the bigger tires....just something to think about if your upgrading them

yeah that is what i was planin on doing was getting sloted rotors did you put them on your self? i know they are not hard to put on or anything but i just was curious about a price the tire place that i went to was trying to charge me uhhhhh 120 or so dollars per rotor my head spun around when i herd that

lol I forget. The reason the rotors got messed up was there was something broken on the caliper so I had both calipers replaced, new pads, and slotted rotors for I believe around 700 bucks. At the time I had the cash and it was already apart so I just told the guy to do it...it was at firestone where I knew the guy so I don't think he was jerking me around and it all came with a lifetime warranty so to me it was like boo yeah....brakes for life yo!!! and none of it was oem either so i think it worked out nicely....dam i miss that truck :lol::lol:
