Loaded Truck

Is it safe to leave a load on your truck for 24 hrs? I picked up a load of lumber, and it started pouring down rain. It's in a 94 Silverado, not my GMC, but you guys give better info than the Silverado forum. Thanks.

If it holds it for a minute it will hold it for a month.

Thanks for the quick reply! I can sleep easy tonight and unload it when it is dry. Only half the load was picked up to keep it light.

Yep your good to go... You do know the lumber will be heavier after the rain, right?

just drive slower and dont mash it if it is still loaded when you move, especially after the rain.

you could always throw a jack under the tow hitch and transfer the stress to the ground instead of the springs. Over night should be all good though.
