Anti Lock Brake Problem

When i apply the brake with even pressure, the abs activates and the pedal vibrates at approx 5mph till stop. This is definatly the abs activating not warped rotors. I told the dealer about this and they cleaned the front abs sensors, and no change. It does this everytime i step on the brake and only activates just before the vehicle stops. This is dangerous.

This is on my 05 chevy silverado crew cab 4x4 z71. This is a completly stock vehicle.

Please help. I dont want to pay a my dealer 95 bucks an hour for them to start replacing parts till they find the problem. This is what they did to me with another problem.

Thanks

Which wheel gets ABS activated?  There may be a problem with the exciter rings in the front if the sensors were truly cleaned of any rust.

I just got the exact same problem fixed about a month ago. Luckily I had an extended warranty. It was a Brake pressure modulator valve. It would have cost me 1500 if I didn't have the warranty. 2 separate mechanics diagnosed it before any work was done. They also replaced one speed sensor and cleaned the other.

There was a code that indicated the BPMV and they did a pressure test on it to confirm.

Can you tell us what was the code?

I don't remember them telling me what the code was but I'll look at the paperwork tonight and see if they put it on there somewhere.
