Throttle Body Spacer - Is It Worth It?

I just installed a volant cai in my 05 yukon denali 6.0. Now I'm thinking about the next upgrade before I go for a tuner. I have heard that a throttle body spacer is a waste of money and does not add performance. I want to get opinions on this. Thanks for contributing.

Throttle spacers help do what? Increase air/fuel mixture/flow. With an 05 Yukon/Denali, your fuel is injected right above each cylinder. Installing a spacer won't do anything for you unless it's a 1995 or older with TBI/Carbureted. Anyone who says it increased power is fooling themselves. The computer is controlling things now. Save up for HPTuners software and get all kinds of tweaking you want.

Absolutely...wouldn't want an ugly one on your desk.

A spacer will work fine on a TBI system (wet) but not on a PFI since its dry.

Thats what I was thinking. Only get one of these if its windy in your office. I like the Airaid ones, nice shade of red...
