Hey guys, I just installed a transgo shift kit in my 2002 z71. I also have a vette servo coming in the mail. My question is that just after the shift kit my 1-2 shifts are pretty hard (I used 1 spacer). How much difference is there between zero and 1 spacers? Will the servo make this even harder? Should I put it in? Will it be too harsh of a shift and break something else? One more question....I have a tune scheduled with Justin from Black Bear later next week, I know that he can adjust shift firmness and that guys usually increase the firmness with a tune, but in my case would he be able to tone it down a bit so I would have to go all the way in to take out that spacSorry for all of the questions, but thanks for your help

Tony, how was the install?

The install went pretty darn good I am happy with the results. The only problem is that my 1-2 if pretty hard. I called the transgo tech line (awesome guys by the way) and they said that if I was happy with the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts that I should not put in the vette servo. They said if I do, I will not like how hard it will shift. So....not big deal,I think that i'm just going to send the servo back because I am happy with the firmness I have now. thoughts??? Oh and Thanks for asking

I've read where a servo can be used with a tranny kit, but it does shift harder. If you do decide this route, it has been suggested you need to go in and replace the boost valve & modify the separator plate.
