Red Tag Event

I read they are going to start the redtag event early this year secondary to the poor october numbers. Sale starts tomorrow anyone have any info on if the sierra prices will be better then they were? I was looking to buy an extended cab WT 4x4 and was offered GMS pricing plus 7500 in rebates last week but had to go out of town and couldnt get anything done. Should I expect better tomorrow?

probably not. the employee pricing is generally the better deal, BUT this could be better depending on GM wanting to move product.

The deal was MSRP=29918. GMS=26590.68. -7500 in rebates. Final price= 19090.68. 36% less then sticker. Is it possible to do better? That is a pretty good deal but I want the best possible. We just bought an 07 Sierra SLE2 vmax package last year from the same dealer/salesman and are in need of a second truck (4x4 this time). I was trying to trade in an 2008 escape and wasnt very please with the trade in value either though. What do you all think?

True invoice on that truck would be anywhere from $19500 to $23000. that is a nice savings, but I would try to get that 'base' price down to the $24000 area and then have them throw the $7500 in rebates on top of that (to help with TTL)
