2001' Silverado 1500 4wd with a 5.3 liter. It runs fine but it warms up on the gauge to about 250 F. It doesn't feel or seem that its overheating it there an easy fix or do I need a thermostat.

You may need a new radiator too. Remove it and take it to a good radiator shop to have it flow tested. ti
