Engine Dress Up

Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a company who sells stuff to dress my engine up... Stuff like wiring kits, billet accessories, and so on..

Any help would be greatly appreaciated

I don't know how much they may have but check out billetspecialties.com.

I know they have some S10 stuff there and if anyone is looking for a billet bowtie grill emblem,they have them too for around ?.

Hey,

I think i m going to go with the SS bowtie. It looks a little better with the chrome center bar.. All the billet bowties with the plain chrome bar looked a little off to me. Only time the billet bowties look really good is on the xtreme grilles were there is a painted center bar..

I m going to get the SS bowtie when i get my clear corners, grill insert, and the stainless westin safari bar.. I ll do the whole front end at once..

One more question since i m here..

Is it worth the money for the PIAA Platinum series headlight bulbs.. I know PIAA makes a really high quality product but is it worth it for 112.00 per set of bulbs??? I have Xexon replacement bulbs they were the 20 dollar bulbs and the saying is true you get what you pay for. They SUCK! I had to put my stock bulbs in to see any distance again!

If you feel the need for good quality lights,PIAA is hard to beat but like you said,they aren't cheap.

I have the SS bowtie on the front of my ZR2 as well.

In case you're wondering,the GM part # is 15635564.

Ya i know they dont come cheap.. I just wish our trucks were a one bulb system instead of 2 because now its twice the money.. But ya i m looking for some good stuff this time.. I figure i might as well put some really good stuff in the truck now..

Do you have a good pic of your bowtie? I cant find a really good shot of one on a ZR2 yet.

That looks great Frank. I had the black/red bowtie from a 454SS in my '91. I think that was one of my favorite things I did to that truck.

Hey Frank,

I had a quick question i just noticed about the picture. You have probably answered it before but i havent seen it yet..

What are the holes in the bumper for??

It looks like something was in there or something is going in there..

Those are there from my pre-runner bar.

I had to take it off because the light tabs are too close to the bumper and they won't bend down far enough to adjust the lights properly.

I need to get around to spacing it out and I'll probably take the truck up to my wife's parents one weekend and then fab a skid plate and a couple of frame mounts for it since he has the welding rigs up there.

It's just another thing I haven't got around to doing yet.
