This HPP...  after you program all the settings, does it stay mounted in the vehicle somewhere??? Or do you just plug it back in when you are ready to program again...

I am asking because why should EVERYONE pay ?+ when 1 person (or a group) could get one, and get together and program the trucks at the same time.  Unless they are specific to a specific engine/gear ratio/etc... who knows.  I am just thinking out loud here.

Plug it in the little adapter (OBD?) under the dash (prong thingy)

Program the settings you want

wait 10min while it uploads unplug it start your truck up and your off.

Its a handheld device hmmm maybe 8 or 9 inches long by 4-5 inches wide box.  

It doesnt stay plugged in

So, you could EASILY share with someone.  So, does anyone have one here in Houston, I live on the north side of town?!?!?!   ;)

No you can not share with anyone after you install the program.

It uploads the performance codes that you select into your computer and stores the factory codes from your truck in the programmer.

Even if you program back to stock,I'm pretty sure that you have to send the reprogrammer back to Hypertech to clear the original VIN(it stores that too)before it can be used on another vehicle.
