Does anybody use any sort of storage box under their rear seat in their extended cab?  I would like a little extra storage, but i don't like bed style boxes.

Just a duffle back with a few things that might come in handy if I get stuck in the truck during a snowstorm overnight and a sleeping bag -

I have a small milk crate under my seat with some junk in it.  Any little things that would fall out of the milk crate goes in the small toolbox that is in the tool box in my bed.

Those Steel Horse packs are almost exactly what I need. Now if I could just get them in Tan. Thanks for the info.

I think they're only available in black, but I didn't really look any further.  Black was fine for me since I have the dark interior.  I guess I don't really notice them that much.  For 30 bucks for the pair they cost me what a toolbox would've cost for back there.  Plus I can pull them out really quick if need be.

I think one of our members works for steel horse if I'm not mistaken.  Look at the threads in this forum about steel horse steps for the guys user name.  Maybe send him an email and see if he has any more info for you.

--Edit--

Got his name for you, it's:

Matts U.A.V.

I would PM him or email him.  He seems like a pretty helpfull guy so I'm sure he could find out some more info for you.

Frank, glad you found my info usefull.  I've actually got a review in the product review forum already.  Feel free to add to it.  IMO they are one of the best things I've put in my truck so far.

I got two Sterilite plastic storage units from Target that fit perfectly under the rear seat.  I think they are only five bucks or so.

Yeah, it is an old subject, but still relevant.  Here are two views of a $0.99 Sterilite box from Wal-Mart that I placed under my extended cab seat:

Yeah, I'm cheap---not even a buck!!!! But this sure beats the $130 and upward prices of the dedicated units.

Hey, use whatever works for you.  That's what our fine site here is all about.  I started out with a Rubbermaid toolbox under my backseat, and I wouldn't have gotten the GM unit if I hadn't gotten it for a steal.
