700r4 From A Camaro Into 91 Pickup

So a while back I got an awesome deal on a 700R4 with very few miles on it. The issue I have now is that I have no speedo cause its a gear driven sensor versus my magnetic sensor. I haven't really looked into it cause at the time I just cared more about having the truck running. Now, however, I wanna restore the truck and figured that would be a good place to start.

 

My question is, can I simply splice in my wiring to the geared pickup or do I need to change something and if so, what?
