Spinning Tires

SO anyways I stopped by a Sunoco gas place yesterday and filled up with their 94 octane gas...usually I use 87.

I decided to punch it just for the heck of it, and my truck spun the tires pretty good. Mind you, the road was a bit wet.

So then I decided to go on a dry section of road to see if I could spin the tires. Sure enough, I could spin the tires from a dead stop. I doubt that the fuel has anything to do with it, but I have never been able to do that before on dry pavement. The tread is fine on the tires, and my truck is getting near 30,000 kms now. I don't have a tune on it or anything.

Can anyone else spin their tires on dry pavement?

Yeah, I know some people are going to call me dumb, but I was never able to spin the tires on clean dry pavement, and now I can.

Worn tires have less traction and trucks have a little more OOMPH after they get broken in. I've noticed a little improvement in mine after 10,000 miles. TM still keeps the tires pretty "spin free" on my truck unless I really try to spin them.

my truck (with the 4.8) used to squeal the OEMs when I did WOT with the pedal all the way down to the floor...

It looks like its a Z71 and that should have the G80.

Ahhh...good eye! Then it must be his shitty tires.

My truck wouldn't even come close to breaking my OEM Crapyears loose on the stock tune.

maybe his truck is a freak?

Hahaha. I was surprised, I'm going to assume it's the crapyear tires on it. And yes, I do have the G80.
