Weathertech Fitment Issue

I picked up a set of Weathertech mats for my 08 Sierra extended cab. Overall, I'm very happy with them. The front pair fits like a glove. The rear mat is a slightly different story. I have the 40/20/40 split bench up front, so I removed the front center cutout, cutting on the pre-molded line. The passenger side of the cutout lines up perfectly against the bottom of the jumpseat. The fitment of the rest of the mat is spot-on with all of the indentations and reliefs lining up perfectly. However, on the driver side of the jumpseat cutout, the mat isn't even close to fitting...it's curled up against the side. I realize I'm nit-picking a bit, but with the fitment I have in the other areas, this just doesn't add up. Has anyone else had a problem with this? I can just cut the notch bigger, but I will have to remove the factory molded edge and it won't look as nice. Plus, I want to make sure I'm not missing something...once I cut, I can't undo it! Here are some pics:

for as much money as you spent on them, I would email WeatherTech customer support and send them pictures and explain your dilemma to them, they are a good company and should be able to work something out...

It looks like you left about 1/8 inch of material inside the ridge. I cut mine much closer to the ridge and it fits just fine. Do you think the additional 1/4 inch would make it fit right?
