i too was having problems of not being able to start my 2008 silverado cc. first time i left it outside overnight, went to start it up the next night and wouldn't turn over, had to get it boosted by a FORD, my friends a little embarassed ...next time i was driving all day shut it down ran into the house and back out and nothing. just got it back form the the garage and they could find nothing. they had it overnight on a scope to see what was drawing the power and nothing noticeable so go figure. the only thing i noticed was on the voltage gage it always fluctuated under 12 volts way over 12 volts etc. prior to it not starting it was steady at a little over 12. ? now it seems back to normal .....to change the subject a bit, noticed when it was cold there was a chatter from the engine, lifters? told the dealership about it and asked if they have had any problems or heard anything and they said no. hmm but there is a tsb out on the lifters.... and one last point, when i rotated the tires noticed my from rotors had noticed grooves wearing in the steel. i have only 7500 miles 12,400 kms should this be possible and should my warranty take care of this, obviously their not wearing properly being scored like that...

The chatter from the engine could be the tensioner pulley, the belt chirping or another pulley. IF the charging system is fluctuating that badly, then they may want to focus on the charging system (alternator). The rotors are not the issue, the brake pads have big chunks of ceramic (or another material) that the supplier did not break up into small parts. the best that the dealership will do will be to grind down the rotors, but if they do not replace the pads, then the problem will come back. I would say for them to turn the rotors and replace the pads, but the new pads might have the same problem as the old ones
