Digital Temp Control Head

Hey guys im new with this denali but i have the auto/digital temp controll, and it seems as if i cant turn the heat up without turning the ac compressor on. I just dont want the ac to work all the time.

If i just turn this thing to blow at my feet its just the heater but if its at my face, or face/foot it kicks on the ac compressor.

 

Now ive read through the owners manual, but still cant make any since of this, seems super complicated, and i realize the point of climate controll is to constantly adjust to the desired tempature but again im new with this and was just wondering if anyone has some inside tip for me..

make sure the compressor (a/c) is turned off. It appears that the system will default to 'on' each time...

The compressor will run anytime the outside temp is around 40 degrees or above. You'll have to manually turn the compressor off every time, if you don't want it cycling, or move to Antarctica.

Stay out of the Auto mode and just direct the air down or up by the button below the auto button and turn off the A/C at the sunburst button and your in manual mode with exception of when your in defrost mode which uses the A/C.
