hotshot10021962 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I am looking at a used '06 Gmc crew sierra 4x4. carfax shows it to have service contract repairs of pitman arm and, a few months later, fwd ring and pinion. What could have been the problem? what does this indicate? I haven't asked the seller, yet. trying to get informed ahead of that, so i'll know whether to believe him.
tobias Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Something was wrong in the steering. I'm sure it's probably fixed by now and shouldn't present you with any issues.
VMax2007 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 If he doesn't know you checked the carfax and know about the repair, I would use this info as a tool to see how honest he is when you ask him about it's history. If he lies and/or tries to hide it, I would walk away. If he is honest and tells you about it, then you can feel confident he is an honest seller.
