Ball Joint Removal Tips/kit

Guys,

I am going to attempt to change the upper and lower ball joints on my 97 Suburban. They originals are istill n there at 200k. Im worried I will have trouble getting the originals out. Is there a removal kit I can buy made specifically for our trucks? Or are there any removal tips you can post for me?

It takes a little time..... and tools. One is riveted in (new one bolts up), the other is a press fit You probably need control arm bushings as well, if they haven't already been replaced. Also look into tie rods, pittman arm, idler arm too. I'd suggest getting a look at a good manual that details the procedure for the removal so yo know what you're dealing with. If you have a coil spring be very careful that it doesn't fly out and injure someone.
