Greasing Suspension/ Ball Joints

can anyone tell me how to grease the ball joints....im looking to lube up this weekend to get rid of some squeaks but the stock ball joints don't have grease nipples...so how to you grease them?

If they don't, you can't without taking the whole assembly apart. I believe most of the components are "permanently greased" meaning no way to regrease em without basically replacing it.

As long as the boots aren't torn, they are greased for their service life.

I use a needle adapter on my grease gun to grease the "greased for life" ball joints. While it does poke a very small hole in the boot, I would rather force grease int here on a regular basis. So long as there is plenty of grease in there, the risk of contamination should be small.

They are usually referred to as "grease fittings" or "grease zerks".

On some vehicle ball joints they use small cap screws in place of a grease fitting. You could replace the screw with a fitting. I do not think this is the case with these trucks though. The 800 series have grease fittings on the ball joints.

Hey guy. You need to step back there a bit. Get a sense of humor. You take everything a bit too seriously. He answered your question and tried to let you know what MOST people call them. It's not like he was bashing you. Did you not see the smiley face at the end of the line?

BTW. If want ball joints with grease "nipples" so that you "no your shit is lubed up", you'd better be buying aftermarket ball joints and installing them. Oh, and don't forget to replace your tie rods too.

I'd say you owe someone an apology for the name calling. It would go a long way to getting questions answered in the future. IMHO.
