Life Just Sucks

Hey all.

Well I just can't seem to win. Here's a little background on this saga. It all started in July. I was on my way to pick a friend up, we were heading to Skirmish USA in Penn. for thier Invasion Of Normandy (ION) paintball scenario game. I was sitting at a red light and got rear ended. My '03 Impala was totaled, and I sustained a back injury that required me go to physical therapy 3 times a week. Fast forward to Sept. I bought my '05 Silverado. Fast forward again to December 31st, 2008. I'm driving home from physical therapy. I'm feeling pretty good and am now down to 1 session a week and have about 3 sessions left. It was starting to snow and decided to back in the driveway, in front of my wifes car so I could shovel one side of the driveway then move the cars and shovel the other side. Well as Im backing in, this guy, obviously driving to fast for the conditions, slides about 80ft and slams into the left rear of my truck, and spun me right around. The damage to the bed doesn't look to bad, although the whole bed is racked alittle. The left rear tire took the brunt of the impact. The axle is bent real bad, and there is a horrible scrapping/grinding noise coming from the area of the brakes and axle. On top that, I reinjured my back and have to start physical therapy all over again. Now 10 days has gone by and my truck is still sitting my driveway. Why do insurance companies always drag thier feet? Hell I don't even have a rental yet. Currently my wife and I are sharing her Mustang. God I hate that car. But it's getting me back and forth so I really shouldn't complain. Well on to the picks.

Lets start with his approach.

Through the snow bank he goes.

Now lets see how a 2002 Honda Accord bounces off a Silverado. Also notice how far the truck was spun around. Check out the drag marks from the front tires.

And here is another view. How my mail box came out of this unskathed, is beyond me. also notice the big whole in the Honda's bumper that matches my tire.

And now the damage to the bed.

So yeah, Life Sucks.

Glad you're OK,the truck can be fixed. So did the guy say why he was going too fast? and how did he not see a Big Red truck from a distance and slow down a little early? Some people a just plain stupid...

I'll quote the accident report. He was Operator #1. "Operator #1 stated he was traveling north bound on Hartford TPKE.. He saw vehicle #2 in the roadway and hittried to stop, but do to the icy road, he struck vehicle #2." does that explain it. Just another stupid person who doesn't know how to drive in the snow.

That sucks. People need to learn how to slow down when its snowing.

 Maybe since they own a honda they shouldnt be driving at all... IMO :D Especially on this conditions...

I am still amazed at this... Looks like they should have still had enough time to stop!

I think Mr. Cheng shouldn't be driving at all.
