just by chance, does anyone know how to change out the bulbs behind the gauges the one between 70 mph and 120mph dies and i can't see the dim numbers well enough to know how fast im going.

Should be just like every other insturment cluster. You have to remove it from the dash and look at the back side...there you will see what look like "knobs" a 1/4 twist and pull and you will find a bulb......the hardest part of the whole thing is the R+R of the cluster

I believe on his 04 they are soldered in. Will be a little more difficult in replacing them. :D

 

Finding replacement bulbs is not easy. I believe Radioshack has them that are close. Don't remember the part#.

How often are you going between 70 and 120?? :lol:

 

often..

 

here is the soldered bulbs that im gonna swap with 12 volt leds..

Your truck has a 7 year 70k mile warranty on the cluster. take it to the dealership and tell them the speedometer sticks and sometimes the fuel gauge doesnt work. unless you have more than 70k.
