Cold Air Intake

I have a 2004 GMC Yukon Denali. A guy at my work came up to me and asked if I would like to buy his cold air intake off of his 2000 Chev Silverado that was a 5.3l. The cold air intake has a K&n air filter on the end and he wants $150 for it ( only used for one year and in good condition). So will this intake fit on my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali that is a 6.0l? And if it would fit is the price right? He said he paid $250 for it. thank you for your input!

Don't know a ton about CAI's, however, my guess would be that since his was a 5.3L and yours is a 6.0L it may not fit. I would guess that the throttle body and intakes would be different sizes based on engine size and the amount of airflow needed for a 6.0L vs a 5.3L.

I suggest you go to K&N's website and look at the applications of their intakes. If you find that the same part number of any of their intakes fits the 5.3 and the 6.0 in the same year range, you'll have your answer.

There's a ton of different brands out there that offer the intake package with a K&N Filter. Depending on the manufacturer, it should fit 4.8/5.3/6.0 motors

One could say any mod that doesn't interest them is a ripoff. But just because YOU do not like it, does not mean it's true.

 

I happen to like the looks and sound of mine and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
