its a llama and the tags he got were for elk.

Especially after coming all the way from New York, and paying several hundred dollars for an out of state tag. And this valley is absolutely overflowing with huge bull elk. They extended the hunt this year (And last year, and the year before) because there's too many of them.

 

I got this picture a few years ago. He was just standing about 10 feet off the side of the road. He didn't even care that I was there. That happens fairly frequently.

Saw one in person from a 2 man v-bottom john boat. Them suckers is BIG! Wouldn't fit in the bed of that truck.
