Well somehow I picked up this trojan on my Office PC... Trying to get downloads with my pc so in the meantime I am searching with the Laptop....

 

I dont know where I got this from but from what I am reading it appears as a Removal/Scan tool software and it tries to get you to purchase it or something.... I never clicked on any of these...

 

I ran my safe mode and searched and found some other Worm leeches and got rid of those but I am having trouble narrowing this one down... I'd prefer trying to find it manually than installing a bunch of software...

 

Says that the Trojan appears as a Perfect Defender 2009 program but cant find it...

 

 

Anyones else experience it? Any one else locate the file?

You should try to do a system restore. Usually takes care of it. There is also a program called "hijackthis". It's free works well. Usually finds programs that are there that shouldn't be.

I'd start going down the list and opening pages. Find a site that looks ok and try their removal tools. I don't normally recommend blindly downloading files from strange web sites, but what's the worst that could happen? You get a virus? :crackup:

:D Yeah I didnt realize that my lavasoft software had run out!!! But I havent been on the office PC since before the surgery..

 

How the **** do you think that I have time for porn when I am on here ALL THE TIME and I have a hot wife that takes care of me??? :D

 

Anyways... I think its limewire Pro.... There is always something that I get from that site.. I use this software from there that changes IP adresses....... But it seems like it downloaded a little more than I needed...

 

I have never (fingers crossed) had a virus on my PC or laptop...

 

See the virus has crippled it... I cant get online and cant run virus software cause its expired... I am trying to get some files on my sandisk to get this fixed... I think that I am going to throw it out and buy a mac!!!

 

My dell, toshiba, Gateway, have been great but this compaq I tell you what.. I bought it to help my brother out but its nothing but crap!

Just thought you'd like to know that there is no such thing unless you have such a system in your garage or something... But I am sure that it goes off all the time when you are around!!! :D

:crackup: if you think so.. I have only had it for at least 5 years and never had a problem until now!!! And now it is gone...

 

There is a good chance that your son does not know of or aware of Limewire PRO... He is using a much more primitive version!

 

Would not have had problem if I had updated my virus software...

 

But thanks for your useless post!!! :crackup: it almost competes with mine!

LIMEWIRE????? I didn't know anyone still used THAT. :crackup:

 

If you are gonna download a bunch of stuff... get a program like AGENT or something similar and download from newsgroups. And always keep your spyware and anti virus up to date.
