Removing Center Console On Truck To Replace With Seat

Has anyone ever removed the center console and replaced it with the jump seat on a NBS 07+. Would like to have the heated leather bucket seats and all the bells and whistles but need the space for kids. Wondering specifically what the carpet is like under the console, is it complete or does it come up just under the trim. Any problems removing/moving the amp?? or any other considerations to be taken. Would like to hear if anyone has done this or if there are any pics of the removed console to know whats all underneath. Looking at a 2500HD CrewCab Duramax, LT or LTZ, I don't think the dash on the LTZ should be in the way to much as it would only be little person sitting in the center seat. Thanks for any help.
