01+ 2500hd Ext Cab Amp Install

Just wondering where all of you who have amps installed them. Im thinking the back wall be hind the rear bench but i dont want to screw right through the back wall and create some holes for rust to start growing, any pics and suggestions?

You could install a plywood sub-surface to mount to. There should be something existing to bolt it to on the back wall.

I have mine laying on the floor under rear bench seat on DS. I didn't want them mounted in a location that is hard to access. Plus wanted sufficient air flow between amps because they can get hot depending on how loud I crank the volume up. They never shift while driving and stay put on the floor.

 

 

Then I keep the kicker on top of bench seat and have my inverter mounted on top of kicker with CB.

 

 

My CD changer is mounted under rear bench seat on PS, where there is easy access to change CD's.
