norsemanberg Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Well i found this mount that uses a stake pocket to mount your antenna and i figured how often do i use that stake pocket anyway so i installed it and here are some of the picture from the install.
norsemanberg Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 I thaught some one would have said something about the #7 picture
Tigerado Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 What type of CB is that. I've been looking to add one to my chevy but my antennas will probably be mounted to the tow mirrors.
Tigerado Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Thanks, had an old cb handed down from m grandfather in my last truck. Still trying to figure out which cb and how to mount it and the antennas in the '06.
hodo78 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Why? Because you have a Springfield Armory in the center console? I prefer Glock, Kimber, or Sig myself. But to each his own!

jrrod2004 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I would mount mine in the rear stake hole since mine is a crew cab and the cab may generate interference...did you check your SWR?
norsemanberg Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 I didn't know anyone was still using CB's. Yep, even with cell phones we still use them, I mostly use it when I'm on the high way for long stretches, it good to know where the next speed trap is or whats going on 5 or 6 miles down the road.

Yep, it's at the bottom of the scale on 1 and just under 2 on 40 nice, I had mine in the rear passenger stake hole because my SWR was high on 1 and 2. That is until someone stole the CB radio (kinda wish they had taken the OEM radio as well).
norsemanberg Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 I had some one take my antenna and mount. Thats why i had to install this one
BuckFeverZ Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Good install. Doesn't the radio get in your way with it mounted on the console like that?
