Fog Light Accessory Kits

I ordered the new fog light kits for my 08 silverado today. I will get pics, etc of the install when it comes in.

 

I have seen everyone talk so highly of GMPARTSDIRECT, but honestly when I went to the dealer and explained to them that I could get the parts for cheaper from the web, they met me halfway. Overall, I paid less due not having to pay the 51.00 of shipping, and probably wont have to wait three weeks for them to come in either. I do live GMPARTSDIRECT however, because they freely give the GM part numbers that I can call my local parts department with for comparison shopping!!

That's a good idea barganing with your parts dept. I tried that with mine and the guy said "oh well, do you want it or not?"

There are many numbers depending on the color of your truck. My advice: Go to GMpartsdirect.com, click on accessories, put in you specific model data and then scroll down until you see the listing. They give you the part number on the site that you can call your local dealer and ask about. Just let them know that they have competition and maybe you will have the same luck that I did. I paid 265.00 total for mine.

justed order my fog light kit 19170447 $284.75 and the DIC panel/switch 19159438 $82 or $84 shipped to the dealer down the road. Dealer said it will be in tomorrow, now if I can get out of work in time to get there and pick it up.

 

I though if I have to remove the left dash panel to replace the headlamp switch, I'll put the DIC in too.

 

I can post some pics before middle(swearing) finish if you would like???

I would like to see some pictures. I want to add the fog lights to my truck. Also, can you tell us everything that came with the kit? Thanks and good luck with the install.
