crepitus Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 what if you were going to pull a 4k pound trailer would it be better to leave it stock or it wouldnt matter?
BuckFeverZ Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 what if you were going to pull a 4k pound trailer would it be better to leave it stock or it wouldnt matter? Leveling kit won't effect towing, but you may want to run an AAL, taller block, or bags in the rear so the front end isn't pointed to the sky with the trailer hooked up.
Ranger Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 what if you were going to pull a 4k pound trailer would it be better to leave it stock or it wouldnt matter? I pulled a 13,000 lb trailer with the leveling kit and it pulled pretty good, no steering issues.
jimbello Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 NO. Just get your allignment checked. DEPENDS, I had the leveling kit put on my '08 back in September. Because I got the kit that is just shims that go over and under the strut the alignment was not affevted at all. I didnt want to believe it but I took my hands off the wheel going home that day and she went straight as can be. Performance wise, The truck rode and handled like it did before the kit was put on.....
