Michelin Ltx At 2

Both are excellent tires. Pop over to tirerack.com and read through the specs and reviews. Other than that the big difference would come down to price.

Anyone know if either size will fit stock? The 275/60 is the same width and an inch taller, and the 285/55 is almost a 1/2 in wider and just barely taller.

Stock or aftermarket wheels? If you really want a larger tire, the 285/55 is probably your best bet for fitment.

Stock wheels most likely. I'd prefer to go a little taller rather than wider. Is there really not enough clearance for an extra inch height stock?

And thanks for the input on denalitrucks, I've been checking that out too.

With stock wheels an additional 1 inch is no problem at all. From axle center that is only 1/2 inch, so the difference in clearance is almost nothing. If you go a lot wider it might become an issue when turned to full lock.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. I had no issue with this amount of increase on my '04, but I hadn't seen much experience on the 900s without leveling kits. Regardless of the tire I choose, I'd like to go with the 275/60/20 on stock wheels.

I've also been lookin at those michelins but am worried about the fitment as well. I have a bit of rub against my mudflaps with the current stock goodyear on my gmc. I've ordered the rough country leveling kit hoping to correct this issue and gain a little room, after 2 years of the rubbing I've had enough. so after I install the kit and see how much more room I have when I put the 20's back on in the spring, I'll decide. If the michelins wont fit, I'll be getting cooper zeon ltz's in the stock size
