Hey, I signed up last week when i heard about this site from my uncle. I bought my truck last fall with 35,000 miles on it, pretty much stock though. So been thinking about the things i want to add to it this next summer (its put away for the winter since i have a beater car i drive).

1. Definitely needs Nerf Bars of some sort. Haven't decided yet. I like the looks of the ones on the newer fords where the bars curve in slightly at the ends but dont curve under. But dont know how that would look on a regular cab. So i will probably go with Westin 4 inch oval nerf bar or something.

Before i put them on though i want to get the rocker panels line-x-ed, to prevent rock chips since i live on gravel. I just called the line-x dealer in my area and its $1000 to do the rockers! Then a couple hundred extra to do them in red so they match. The bed is $495 + $99 for over the rails. Whats your experience with Line-x doing your rockers? Is it worth it?

2. I think i will add the OEM black textured fender wells as well as i like the look of them on other red trucks. Just dont know how they would look on a Reg. Cab Shortbox? I hope good.

3. Then what do you guys recommend for a 2" leveling kit up front? I know nothing about them. But would like the truck to sit level. I looked on daystar's website and their leveling kits is the poly plastic, but the see the Rough Country one is the steel plates. Is any one better? For ride, quality? etc.

4. Then i haven't decided either. But i like the look of the Putco Stainless Steel Door Sills. But i am wondering with them on, with the door shut can you see some of the sill or not? Does anyone have them to comment?

5. Then i am gonna add the front bug deflector, the weathertech window vents and the weathertech fit floormats. I will also probably 3M the fenderwells while i am at it to. I read a post on here where a guy did it with instructions and it looked very nice. Also does anyone know of a good remote start kit to add for the winter?

So basically if anyone has anything i mentioned if you wanted to shout out about how you like the product and then if it answers any of my questions. I would appreciate it, as most of it is new to me, and looking to get this stuff ordered for spring so when i get it out i can get it put on. Thanks Ryan

Haven't read through the whole post yet, so I'll just reply to this for now.

Are they also spraying the door sills? Because that adds a whole lot to the price, since they have to tape off the interior. It cost me $642 to get the outside sprayed up to the body line with black Extra (like in my sig).

I've only had it for about 5 months, but so far it's well worth it, especially with the fender flares. Don't have to worry about the rock chips one bit. $1000 is way too much though if you're just getting them sprayed the way I have them.

And in regards to the leveling kit, is the truck a 2wd or 4wd?

Thanks for the comments guys.

No, that is just for the rockers. I asked how far up they would go on the truck. And he said as far up as i wanted to go, and that it was up to me. So i figured if i did/was going with the color matched i would bring it right up to where the lip starts to turn up on the truck. That way it would be fully protected and still blend in well. They never mentioned anything about the door sills. I also want to add the black fender trim like on your truck, i like the looks of that.

And also it is a 4wd with the Z-71 package on it.

Also, how and where should i put pics of my truck up? I tried to create an album, but the pics of my camera are to big for upload i think. Any good ways to shrink them while keeping the resolution intact? Thanks!

Hey thanks PunMax! Cool how ya did that. I will have to play around with that sometime. Thanks!

Let me know what you guys thing about the stuff to add to it. I definetly want to add the black textured fender flares and probably chrome nerfs bars. Do you think that would look ok together? Or would the black and chrome fight each other? I am thinking a 4 inch oval nerf bar? The ones that still curve under, like the regular 3 inch. Ryan
