Strange Issue.......s10 Blazer Will "jerk" While Taking Off.

ok i have no idea if this stuff matters but let me add.....i just got rid of 32in super swamper TSLs.....its a s10 blazer with 5in lift......just hit 100k miles. anyway i just got new 31in tires which are really like 30in, also had the shop change the diff fluids. that was last weeked. everything was running great.

this weds, the truck started to "jerk" while taking off at a redlight etc. ive never had this before, so im not really sure how to explain it properly. but it reminds me of a rainy day and you stop on a man hole cover, and as you pass it the tires slip and it jerks the car a little.....this is what it feels like. it only happens at slow speeds.......maybe no faster then 35mph, i cant say ive notice it only happens when it changes gears, ive havnt figured this out yet. it doesnt do it all the time.......and im wondering if its worth taking it to a shop for them to test drive it and not see anything and request to take it apart $$$. other then this, the truck shifts beautifully at higher speeds. its so smooth with the smaller tires i cant even tell it has 100k on it.

can it be the rear? maybe the shop used the wrong fluid or didnt fill it? I was thinking my first step is to change the tranny fluid? and maybe also change the rear again? or should i have a shop look at it?

Does it have PosiTraction?

If it does, they may have used the wrong fluid in the rear end.

P-Trac rear ends require special lubricants because of the clutches in the rear end.

Without the right lubricant, the clutches will GRAB and not slip like they should.

If it does have P-Trac...I would change the rear end fluid again just to be safe.

That may be your only problem.

[ok i messed around today and took it for like a 5mile test drive and the issue hasnt repeated. yet.....this is what i did

replaced air filter, cleaned the MAF VAF.......put in some injector cleaner in the tank, greesed the u-joints.

while underneith i noticed, one of the tran lines that go from metal to rubber and metal again, there was all red fluid around it so i tighted the clams up. dont think this was the issue.

also notice fuel around the new fuel filter.....is this an issue? wasnt bad but enough to wipe a few fingers. i left this alone, because i didnt want to mess with it, as i never have before and it was some kind of butterfly connection and didnt know the how to tighten this so i left it be.

Double check the fluid level in the transmission. Any leaking fuel is a major issue and should be corrected.

Also what other maintenance have you done?

My guess is what Jim mentioned. Are you positive you do not have a posi in the rear? Look in your glove box and see what RPO codes are listed. They should have a G then 2 numbers, as in the the following format. G##
