99 Gmc Sierra

Hi all. This is my first post. I appreciate all the information here.

Here is my question. I have a 99 GMC sierra extended cab 3 door. I bought it new.

While doing a detail a year a go I found the mat under the carpet on the passenger side just on the floor. I inspected the area and dried it out. I replaced the lower window seal which looked sun warped. I tried running a hose over that area with the door closed and could not see any water coming in.

After a few months it was soaked again. Any ideas on where it might be coming from?Maybe others have had the same problem?

Well thanks for all who looked anyway. I found the leak to be coming from on top of third window seal.Leaked down to floor and it would run down hill to front passanger floor under mat. I was sure it was coming from some where up front but I was wrong.

I did some research on this and found that others have not had the best luck on getting this problem fixed.After some time and sun,the seal arround the pop out window loses its tight seal. I did find that you can replace the latch from an after market manufacturer http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...18&viewitem=

 

Which pulls the window in tighter to get a better seal. I wasnt really into the $35 price tag for something that may not even work.

I found a 3/8 gasket material with one side self stick and installed the gasket fastening it to the window using one piece. I tried flooding it with water and it is working.
