I have an 05 silverado. My problem is that the blower doesnt blow when its all the way up at 5. The heat works fine and it works 1 through 4 but when i go up to 5 i hear a click under the passenger side dash and it shuts off. go right back and its on. I just did a engine and transmission tune on the computer. Is it a coincidence that it doesnt work now? could it have something to do with it? Seems a bit strange.

Sounds like the blower motor resistor has gone bad, a common problem, and easy to fix. It is also just coincidence with the tune.

just found the bad resistor. Thanks. Im going to need a new pig tail. Is it a matter of just splicing on a new connector? and whats stopping it from happening again.

Did it Jarod, search this site, a guy put up a nice picture by picture replacement. I didn't need the pigtail my connection was fine. By the way my truck is also an 05. Was a few months ago. Good luck, Jake.

Mine just started doing this the other day also... I am so tired of replacing these things. Seem to only last about 1.5 yrs. or so.
