My 396th Post

I would like to dedicate my 396th post to that venerable and well loved BBC. Please join me in a moment of reflection and homage. My very first Chevy truck (1969 C20) was originally equipped with a 396. It had been raped before I got it and had a 250 in it. I was still a hammer. Toasts to the 396 are welcome.

I had a brand new 1968 CST 1/2 ton with the 396.

Yep, back in high school I had a '69 chevy c-10 with 292 straight-6. Good times! That 396 would've been a beast!

Oh hell yes,and the sad thing I traded it in on a new '73 Vega Camback GT.We had a little girl then and thought a little station wagon would work better for us.I liked the car except it was gutless,handled well and had a 4sp.Damn I wish I had that car again,it was in excellant condition too.White with the two black racing stripes and a black vinyl top.
