I can't asnwer your question, but it's a good one. I'll add to it by asking for used vehicles, does KBB, NADA, Edmunds, etc., use a rolling average over a long period or are the values they show current to reflect very recent trends? I read somewhere KBB has a "west coast bias", if that's true then how does entering your zip code affect things?

It really depends on your area. What a truck like yours goes for in one area can very well be quite different in a different area. Have you browsed around autotrader for your area to see what similar trucks are going for?

You'll get less then what a dealer gets for it. A dealer will usually give some type of warranty on the truck plus they usually go over the vehicle to make sure everything is in good working order. At least that is my opinion.

Exactly. Expect to get several thousand less than what a dealer will get. In addition KBB sucks as far as I'm concerned. You iwll need to look at all the major players and get an average. I have found that some dealers always want to quote KBB and that the KBB value is way high as to what they are actually selling for. In my experience Edmunds is pretty close to what the trucks are selling for.
