Battery Issue

My truck has been sitting since Aug in my grage. I did drive it for 2 weeks while I was home in Nov. My wife went out to start it and she said it sounds like the battery is dieing again. She starts it once a week. Any ideas.

Starts it, but how long does she let it run?

today she let it run for 30 min to try and recharge the battery. If I had to guess she lets it run for 5 to 10 min on most weeks.

you should try a battery tender

could be loose terminals up to bad alternator.

check terminals first and not sure on a GM but a BMW i've owned before would start and run but would not hold charge, which is your worse case scenario.

That battery tender sounds like a good idea...thing is that just starting the truck and letting idle for 5 to 10 minutes will cause to drain the battery instead of charging it, the alternator charges the battery when the truck is running.

she drives it from time to time but not much now that the weather has broke. But I still dont like her driving my love!
