Warranty Questions

Now that I have gone over the 36,000 mile mark I am thinking about the extended GM warranty that I purchased. The Dealership that I purchased my truck from has now gone out of business. Does other dealerships have records on there computer that I have this warranty? Is it on some type of central GM database? Or is it up to me to prove that I pruchased this warranty?

Another question:When I was under the 36k mile mark I went to the dealer with several noise issues in the steering. They replaced the power steering pump and said that took care of everything. I still have noises coming from the steering which are very intermidant.Now I am over 36k which warranty do they apply any new repairs to. The reason I ask is I don't know if I have some type of deductable.

Your paperwork will have the information regarding the extended warranty you purchased. They most likely got you to sign up for a third party extended warranty.

If the warranty is from "GM", then you have no worries. It should still work if it's a third party and their still in business.

What did you do when you purchased your new truck,did you buy an extended warranty? Are they worth it?

Either find the extended warranty paperwork or IF you believe you have the GMPP extended warranty just call the GMPP

warranty center and have your vin# handy !

 

If its a 3rd party warranty and you have no paperwork eeeeek!!!!
