Just picked up Ruger p95 9mm. Seems like a solid piece and I've heard good things about it. We'll see when I take it out for the first time (hopefully this weekend). Anybody have any experience with this weapon?

Also, I was eyeing a pretty sweet Remington 870 12ga. Might have to head back pretty soon.

BTW, is anyone else here noticing how heard it is getting to find ammo? It is getting pretty tough around here. I was able to at least score some "shoot em up" Blazer 9mm rounds so I can at least go fire off a few boxes to have some fun with a my new toy.

I wanna get a XD 45 sometime in the near future. There have been a couple at a local sporting goods store that I have been eying up but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Around here there used to be at least 4 shops you could find 7.62x39mm AK rounds, now there is only one place to find 'em and you have to buy in lots of 1000 rounds.

I think guns are a good investment since their value usually dosen't drop. You can never have too much ammo either.

I'm glad I don't live in california, you can't buy sh*t there. Here in ID you can even buy silencers  so you don't disturb the other animals when you kill one.

i used to have a Ruger P95. Like an idiot I sold it. I wish I had it back

I have heard a rumor the govt is going to impose a new tax on ammo as a kind of back door gun ban.

Yeah, we're losing our Sportsmans, too...

I've got a Ruger P89 9mm, that is a nice shooting gun, I'm not sure how different the P89 is to the P95. Maybe I'm just comfortable with it, but I would rather shoot my P89 than a Beretta or Glock or Taurus.

Gotta love the ruger revolvers; modular design, easy to work on, and tinker with if you are mechanically inclined. Trigger can match any smith and can be used as a club just as well!

I like the P95. It shoots well. I'm a huge Glock fan and have quite a few. My latest is the G21 SF with the Surefire x300. It's become my duty weapon. We're issed the HK USP in .40 but can have a personally owned .45 as long as it meets certain requirements. I was glad to ditch the HK as I've had numerous malfunctions with the firing pin spring as well as over 8 mags crap out due to bad springs. One of my Glocks has over 9,000rds through it without a hiccup.

I have a Kahr PM9 that I love. I carry it everywhere I go. It's small, holds 7rds and light. I got it as a summer only weapon and it's made its way as a yaer-round carry based off my range time with it.

On the block for next purchase?

- Wilson Combat Standard 870 with the Knoxx butt stock

- Serbu Super Shorty with a welded picatinny somewhere to put a light

- Sig P220 Combat

- Robarms XPR in 7.62x39

- Springfield SOCOM 16 M1 with a Sage EBR/Mark 14 stock (drool)

- Armalite AR-10 A4

We're about to have our first child, so my gun buying days are quite limited. I'm pulling for the Wilson then that'll be it for a while.

And have you seen the new Ruger LCR? I don't normally like revolvers. I might have to pick one of these up, though.

That's clean and stubby, palm pistol. I've shot Glocks that buddies of mine had and they shoot really nice but I have a better feeling grip with my Ruger.
