Drag Racing! Texas Vs Oklahoma

For all of you Texas and Oklahoma Guys out there that either want to run their trucks, cars, bikes, or just like to watch. I wanted to give you all a heads up.

April 18th we are having the 2nd Annual Red River Shoot Out. There will be a car/truck show, swimsuit contest, tattoo contest, burnout contest, live DJ and more.

Ardmore is about an 1hr 45min straight north of DFW.

Yes Sir! There will be a lot of cars. Last year was the first one and it was huge. We are expecting more this year.

I am hauling my car to Ardmore (parents house) to start prepping it. I have new intake manifold to install and I have been doing a lot of street driving so I will probably change plugs, new fluids, etc.

My dad will also have his 69 camaro there too.

I know, but I will miss that. I open on Saturday so I won't be able to leave until after I shut things down at the clinic. It sucks acting like a grown up.

I'm moving, and I have to be out of this house this coming Tues...But the new place won't be ready until at LEAST the 16th. So the GTO is going into a friend's shop and put under cover until I'm moved into the new place. :'(

I'll post a link to here on the local GTO forum though, might get a couple of folks to show

yeah, that's what YOU think.

lol....He's got his own GTO, that's faster than mine, plus a '67 fastback with mini-tubs, PLUS a Solstice that his wife took down the 1/4 faster than my GTO did on the first trip to the track.

I'm not worried about it at all.

Thanks man! It should be a fun day.

Last year the viper that is on the home page of the ricekiller forum was there. He is supposed to be there this year too, but he about wiped that thing out. That is a badA$$ car. Twin turbos and it runs low 9's high 8's.
