Backup Camera

Does anyone know where I can purchase a Rostra Precision Controls (250-8039) backup camera? I contacted Rostra and they gave me someone who will not sell the camera to me unless I am a distributor with all the proper tax documents. The camera is for a 2008 Silverado LTZ with navigation. I can't find the darn cameras anywhere.

If you are still looking for the Rostra Backup Camera,Summit has one.But the part number is 250-8037,Could the 9 you have at the end be a 7?

Thanks for the reply. The 250-8039 is the camera for trucks with navigation. 250-8037 comes with a small lcd monitor.

Is this the factory camera? I have a 2008 GMC 2500 with nav/DVD.. Will this work with it? Is it plug and play or do you have to have some other sort of module.. I would really like to install a factory back up camera.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

I have heard nothing consistantly good about the Lockpix unfortunately. Thank you very much for the link...I just wish there was a solution ALL could agree on that works best. I have read so many horror stories about the LockPix not working with the iPod, or the Navigation crashing in the middle of a route, or this, that, and the other thing related to demons like that. I don't care about the iPod stuff b/c I am fine just using the iPod screen, I just want/need the Camera, and if I could enter addresses on the NAV while moving (Like on every aftermarket NAV) that would be great too. ;-)

It looks factory with a much better picture and has stood the test of time for me over the past 5 years I've been using them. let me know if you are interested. Either way I can sell you the Rostra or something else.
