Sig Pic Help

Okay, so I can not for the life of me figure out how to get my sig pic the way I want it. I extracted the picture of my truck using Photoshop, so it's JUST the truck--no background or anything. However, when I try to save it, it seems to add that white square around it no matter what I do. The bottom line is that I just want my truck in the sig pic with no background (much like Tobias and others have). Any input as to what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas

Make sure to use the "Save for Web" option and save as a PNG (best option for transparecny) or a tranparent GIF.

Also, be sure your background layer is not visible before you try to save or it will pull it into the save window.

Dammit. Fail. Alright, I did the "Save For Web" and .png and all that jazz, but it still doesn't work. I guess my problem is that the background layer is still visible? Can anyone tell me how to remedy this? I'm using Photoshop Elements 5, if that helps. It wouldn't be a Flickr thing, would it?

EDIT: I'm starting to think it is Flickr. When I choose to save it as a .png, there's only one layer (the truck itself). When I save it as a .jpeg, there's a white background layer. So as far as I know, I'm just saving the truck.

shouldn't be, an easy way to get rid of the back ground is after you use the cut tool to right click on your truck, then click make selection, and then hit ctr+j, and that will make a new layer of just the truck or what ever you selected, and then just delete the background or uncheck it, that works with my ps cs2, and my elements 5, it should work for you...

It was Flickr! I just uploaded the exact same picture to Photobucket, and it works like a charm. Apparently, Flickr was adding the white background. Very odd. Well it's all set now and that's what matters. Thanks for the help fellas

You're also missing your driver's side front wheel. :D
