I have the family share plan and my girlfriend phone is now not working and there is no insurance on that line. I need to get a new phone and dont want to pay the "full price" and dont want to do the early termination if i dont have to.

Does anyone know a way around this so i can get a ok deal trough verizon. has anyone had this happen? and what did you do.

thanks for the help

ebay!!! I have bought 2 replacement phones. Just make sure it's a Verizon phone and transfer your sim card from her current phone and you're good to go.

I know AT&T does this because that's my old service provider (I'm now with Verizon), but every 6 months you can restart your 2 year contract and get a phone for the 2 year contract price which is cheap. As said IDK if Verizon does this.

+1. check with them and see if you are elgible for an upgrd to renew your contract. The Storm is 2 for 1 right now and many others are buy one for like $24 get another free.

True they do not use SIM cards but i have screwed my phone over many times and bought one on ebay and you can go to www.verizon.com and get on your account. You can change phones for free that way by putting your code in that i located behind your battery. There is a how-to on the website.

if you arnt into fancy phones I am sure there are some of us that could hook you up for cheap. I know I have all my old cells in a box but I am an att user or I would just give you one that I am not using!

Did you get this resolved? I have a pile of Verizon phones here at work. We switched to T-Mobile and got all new gear. Let me know. I think there are a few Moto V3's in the pile. Might even have a pink one ;-)

Just out of curiousity, why did you switch from Verizon to T-Mobile? I have T-Mobile now and am planning on switching to Verizon at the end of this year (when our contract is up) because my wife can get a discount on Verizon through her work. Plus, we are sick of T-Mobile, coverage sucks. There are MANY times (i.e. in airports) where my phone has no service but everybody else and their brother is talking on their phone. :puke:

Just an FYI for anyone who is military, police, firefighters or any other public service realated job AT&T has a 19% discount for us! yeah I said 19%!!!

Verison also offers a Military discount, but I don't recall how much.

Is this a new company? I haven't heard of them before? :puke:
