Truck/bed Tents?

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

I'm about to take a road trip and wanted to know if anyone has suggestions for a good truck tent for my '07 Silverado Crew Short Bed. I have been looking at some here: Auto Anything Truck Tents

Thoughts/Suggestions are much appreciated!

My wife just got me the Napier Sportz Truck Tent III for my birthday. Haven't had a chance to test it out yet but it seems like pretty good quality

Was she feeling guilty for throwing your drunk ass out the door on cold nights?

I know it may be a hard concept for you to grasp, but some of us are able to escape gmt once in a while and enjoy real outdoor activites..... And NO, polishing chrome, swapping ECU's and staring at lightning bolts on the sides of tires DO NOT count as outdoor activities

Obviously you missed the pics of the River Party last summer, didn't you?

I live on the river all summer. :D

Why not just sleep under a cap?

If you have a cap that would work. But not everyone wants a cap for their bed.... Hence the tent come in very handy (and packs up nice and small for storage)

...good idea though, something the OP might. Want to consider

Yeah I just figure critters & such (four legged or two) can't get in as easy with a cap.

True - that's crossed my mind - I have a Lund Genesis roll up tonneau, but we go camping pretty often and having something you can sit up in is appealing.

Thanks for the input all!

The tents are completely sealed, just like a tent you would sleep in on the ground....

And now the you mention it, there's tons of places for critters to get into your bed if you only have a cap.....there's plenty of holes at the tailgate and drain&access holes in the sides and bottom of the bed. Lol scratch the bed cap idea, ill stick with the tent!

I was thinking more along the lines of bears and people.

Haha, if I wanted to avoid a bear, I'd stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

I think we're going to go with the Napier Sportz Truck Tent III.
