Hey guys you've seen me post on my suspension questions about adding acouple more inches to my current lift... and I'm not into the body lifts, so I'm kinda stuck. I was about to go ahead and order the dual shock hoops for the front along with the traction control bars for the back but figures I'd try something else(after shecking with y'all first to see if possible), but I want to see if I can swap certain parts from my lift with new parts from another(bigger) lift kit. I don't mind spending alittle but would pref not to have to buy a whole new lift kit. I currently have a pro comp"6" lift that is a stage 1 lift if I'm currect, but it's acually more like a 4 to 5 inch lift, none the less I want to be able to add maybe 2 inches. If this is at all possible please help me figure it out, also if it's possible I wouldn't mind using other brand parts like fab tech or something. But really just trying to see if I can keep somethings on my lift and swap some stuff out to accomplish this without having to take it all off. Thanks guess

what about taking your lift off, selling it, and buying a bigger one.

I actually got a solution now, Ill get cognito upper acontrol arm(and it comes ready for mount for the dual shocks), and I'd get the cognito dual shock hoops. Then add a rear leaf(which I already have) and maybe a bigger block.

I talked to my lift guy right after my post. The cognito upper control arms can make it raise all the way up to like 12 inches or something, so it would easily be able to take care of the 2 inches I want

Yeah so for a run down I'm going to get:

Cognito upper control arm

Cognito dual shock hoop

4 shocks for the dual hoops(have no idea which ones yet)

Procomp traction control bars

And 4 shocks to go with that

I already have add-a-leaf, and if that isn't enough then I'll switch my block out

And possibly buying a set of 20" XD rockstar rims(black) with 35" nitto mud grapplers

I'll know more about the new set of rims in about a month, but the lift add on's are for sure. I figures it all up and if I were to just add the traction bar and the shock hoop like I orig wanted to do then it would only cost me about 700 less, and if any of you have figured out about me that I am OCD and will keep thinking about the added inches of lift that I want, so I think I'll just go ahead and do it all at once just to get it over and done with. Tomorrow I'm going to get the exact prices, so it may be alittle less

sounds like a nice setup. I got the 20" rockstars and I love em. I have had alot of modified vehicles in my 10 years of driving and out of all them I get more compliments on this truck than anything. Every parking lot im in I get "thats the nicest/sickest/baddest/etc ive ever seen" people love rock stars. Then again I live in southwestern PA and Im probably the only one with them in the area. I have seen maybe two other trucks within 50 miles of here that have them. I guess if you were in cali or something they might be played out. If they are rare in your area they will go over well, but if they are a dime a dozen i people hate on em.

oh another thought.. if you keep jacking up the back will it move the rear axle forward? I remember seeing that happen on Jamesons truck but I cant remember the reason.. I thought it was just because he added a different leafpack the brought the rear up and the length of the driveshaft kinda set the axle towards the front of the rear wheel well. definately no where near center.

oh add to add to the info about what im wanting to do,

the cognito upper control arm actually curves down so that when your tightening the torsion keys it compensates for the front wheels tucking inward. So i will also need to change the torsion keys out with a set that will allow me to turn them more. I know that people get scared about tightening the torsion bars, but thats where there new upper control arms come into play and actually make it stronger. also the good thing about going with the cognito upper control arms is that they already come with dual shock mounts, which is what im also wanting to do as mentioned before.

now the next advice i need is which torsion keys are known to be able to raise the front end more? i always hear people say "ford keys", but will those keys do the job, and if so can i get alittle more specific info about them????

You got me on that key deal I have no idea, my truck is the first truck ive lifted and the new style isnt setup that way with torsion bars.
