Thanks guys! I knew you would like it.

It needs a little work...could use a new grille as the one that you see has some dings in it. The truck only has about 11K miles on it. Before I got on the department in 2006, nobody ever drove it. I asked one of my deputy chiefs as to why nobody ever drives it and he said that it is because nobody knows how to drive a manual. So, ever since, in parades I do not drive our big ladder truck, or the pumper/tanker pictured above, I drive the 1969 Chevy...and it turns the most heads. It is such a great PR truck. And I absolutely love to drive it.

Very nice Matt. As you can see from my Avatar and the pic below, I am a little partial to this body style.

Very nice C & A s Dad!

A friend of mine has a 1972 Chevy reg. cab long box. It needs work, but is fun to ride in.

I also like how Chevy gave the 2006 1500s a slightly "retro" hood. It is very similar to the 1969 I posted.

Very cool stepside there Matt! It's in really great shape for it's age.

Well...it has been restored...but still...only has 11K on it.

Very nice. The manual has to be fun to drive in parades though. The Mustang in my sig is a btch to drive in parades because of it

It actually is not too bad. This truck has a 1st gear that could pull a house off of it's foundation. Under normal driving conditions, I start out in 2nd. 1st is just way too low.

Matt and Trey,

Both very nice trucks!:D 70-72 is my all time favorite years of GM trucks. I will have one, one of these days to pull my car with. I plan on putting a modern drive train and A/C. And of course it has to be painted to match my car (what ever color it is by then).

:)
