I ran the 1/4 in 14.5@95mph. See my sig. for the details of my truck. For my setup, I think its pretty good. I think my maximum rpm was 7500. It was severely loud. My exhaust system is true duals. Its 2 1/4" with strieght flo-thru 20" glass packs with no cats and Hooker Headers. I'm using 4.11's with a Detroit in the rear. My TH350 has a stock stall converter with a stage 1 shift kit. I ran with 31" BFG A/Ts front and rear. I usually have 33" TSLs on the back tho.

You need to get rid of that stock stall.  You at least need a 2500 stall.  It will make a difference.  I use a 4500 stall but I don't stall it all the way.  At least not at this time.

I think if your motor has all that in it, you should be able to pull a little better times than that.  I have a 350 with 10.5:1 pistons, mildly ported steel GM heads with a daul plane intake and holley 750.  Then I have a turbo 350 trans, two piece drive shaft and 3.08 gears with an open diff.  I ran a 14.10 and not hitting full throttle for a while because of tire spin.   I plan on putting 3:73's in and I just got a locker for it and hopefully hitting mid 13's this summer.  Theres more stats on my engine on my site.

Seems like you can get a low 14 with your setup.  With a loose converter, you should be good for high 13s.  My buddy can pull my Camaro which does around 13.6, but he's running a 4x4 big block '68.

My best run so far [email protected] mph.  1973 chevy c/10, but alot more to go. Need a stepper gear, better tires, re-jet the carb, etc.  The high 3.07 open gear was keeping my rpm from coming up past 5200 with the stall i got.  Specs

327Chev, you did not say where you lived? If you did I missed it.  That time might be good if you live in Denver or some other place that is at elevations.  But if you live on the coast somewhere they are a little slow.  With a small block, on gas and a carb the best help would be a stall converter, you might want to check with a transmission shop a few years ago some people were using what they called a switch pitch conveter that has a electrical hook up that would alow the stall and lock up of the converter to be changed.  I know that in some street set ups it really made a big difference in their times on the strip, and did not hurt them driving on the street.
