Blackbear Tune Chicago

Just wanted to say Thanks Again to Justin for coming up to Chicago this weekend to tune our Trucks! I've never been one to do a whole lot of performance modding to my trucks until this, but now I am hooked. I think that everyone that has a truck that you were thinking about having tuned should go ahead and give it a shot, its amazing how much more responsive the truck is without all of the factory limitations!

I went with the 89/91 Octane Tune, we took out about 80% of the TM, and I did away with the V4 Mode...overall I am very impressed with the way the truck runs as I have put about 200 Miles on it since having it tuned this morning. I'll be ordering the Vette Servo tomorrow.

Way to Go Justin! Thanks Again! :D

Thanks for the report! Our meet is this coming weekend. I can't wait. What kind of gains did you sacrifice to go with the dual tune vs. the 92 octane? I'm sorta teetering between the two. :P

One thing I'm definitely losing is the AFM, though...it sounds/feels like ass with the Magnaflow exhaust.

You're going with the vette servo...weren't the shifts tight enough after Justin's tweaks? This is another mod I'm debating...

No problem on the report....I really don't know what I lost by not doing just the 93 Octane Tune...I just don't have 93 Around where I am at as much so I guess I never even considered it....I'm happy with the 89-91 Tune thus far...

I lost the AFM cause I never really got super gas mileage with my truck anyway, and I could hear it kick in and out also...

Yes I just got done ordering the Vette Servo...might be here by the end of the week...Justin recommened this, and I think it will help the Transmission out also...

I may look into a CAI at some point this week also..

Thanks!

I can't wait until Justin works his magic! That, and I'm tired of looking at the Check Engine light...my new modules need the crank relearn. :D

My old tune was a 89 octane tune and I had him switch it over to a 93 tune on Sat., I can tell a big difference in the two. You should have gone for the strickly premium tune. I asked about once in a great while putting 91 in the 93 tune and he said it would make much of a difference. I only asked because my sister lives in Centrailia and I know there is no 93 down there and I have a trip to Shelbyville planned for June and was worried if I had to put 91 in and he said no problem.

Night and day difference between just 89 and the 93.

"Way to Go Justin! Thanks Again!"

+1

Another great experience. It is like I have a new truck. I am totally happy, except for that Justin always gets me thinking of more power gains even though I don't think I need them. See my other thread, I don't want to steal this thread

I got my truck tunned by Justin on Saturday also. I went with the 91 tune and he made some adjustments for the 10% ethanol gasoline that they only sell around here. Overall I am impressed with the way the truck wants to get up and go very easily now. I drove home yesterday and have not tracked mileage yet, but he said it should go up by 1-2 mpg. I was the first truck saturday with a servo and we had to guess on the pressure for the 1-2 wot shift because of the rain. Thanks again to Justin.
